No Yoga Mat? No Problem!
Equipment Swaps for Online Yoga Classes
Typically my regular online yoga classes do not use any equipment, except a yoga mat. But, I've included some common props as well as recommendations in this article, in case you need some ideas.

There are many options for yoga mats available. I prefer my Manduka's eKO Lite mat for it's grip, eco-friendlyness and it's durability.
(I'll write a yoga mat review post in a future post).
Use what you have! Whatever you have / prefer is great!

Yoga straps are great for helping you in poses where you are still working on range of motion and flexibility.

Yoga Blocks
I've always preferred the soft blocks over the wooden ones, for easy maneuvering while flowing in Vinyasa style yoga. I also like how they are versatile for myofascial release and core engagement applications.
Swaps:
2 Books (I've seen them used, but I'm not too sure if you need the tallest height how the sturdy/safety or how book binding would survive) Note: I would not recommend this swap for myofascial release.
Currently, there is one online yoga class offering on Zoom from Wellness Begins at OM that is fused with self myofascial release and that will be covered in the next equipment swap post.

Reminders:
As always, be mindful as you move and use caution with your swaps. We want the props to enhance our fitness, not cause roadblocks or injury.
Most of, if not all of our online mind-body classes can be done without any equipment.
If you are doing a swap for any online Zoom class, be sure to tell the instructor what you have during check in, so they can show you how to use that particular swap as we move throughout class.
