Feeling Season’s Change


Autumn's not here yet in New England, but with cooler evenings and early mornings, it makes me want to curl up with the kitties and a hot drink. I love the Fall and it's coaxing nature of coziness!


As we start to feel this season's change from Summer to Fall, it draws us inward and reminds us that wellness begins with ourselves and determining what our needs are. As our needs change like the seasons, taking a pause to connect within can help us to stay present and mindful as those needs evolve. Additionally, these mindful self check-in sessions can also actively refresh our self care goals.


This mindful practice begins by clearing distractions and taking a few moments for yourself - a time out if you will- to connect to your center. Then begin by breathing slowly, deeply and listening to the answers that rise to the surface.


You may notice that these answers often are simple one word or short phrases. If you’re inclined to writing, I would recommend concluding your session by writing down what words and phrases came up, so you can reflect and take action with intention on your renewed self-care goals.


I invite you to take some time for yourself today. Always reminding yourself that self care is a practice and to be gentle with yourself.❤
